New website The AMP has already made the first steps regarding the establishment of a new official website for the Republic of Pannonia. As explained previously, the action is necessary because our current website is going to be deleted by the end of February and the AMP is unable to transfer the site to another host. By pn at 18 Jan 2013 - 23:45 pn's blog Add new comment The fate of our website Neobase.hu, our webhost, has recently announced that its services will be cancelled by the end of February and that all websites (including this) will be deleted. Due to our lack of professionals who could transfer the site to a new host, the official website of the Republic of Pannonia is probably close to arriving at its last ever month of existence. If you have any suggestions or quiries, please contact us as soon as possible. Thank you! By pn at 12 Jan 2013 - 12:30 pn's blog Add new comment Happy New Year! In order to solve this problem, a new address has been created which also links to this website. Besides the original address (pn.neobase.hu), the site is now accessible via the URL http://rep.de.pn as well. The AMP has since then began the promotion of the new address and the replacement of the old one on other websites. By pn at 24 Nov 2012 - 16:57 pn's blog Add new comment First anniversary - Juur de l"Indépendynçe The Republic of Pannonia is exactly one year old today! In the name of the AMP, we would like to thank the Presidency of Pannonia for all the effort they have put into the maintenance of our prosperous Pannonian Government. Citizens in several provinces are celebrating today, including President Brunner who is currently preparing for his annual presidential speech. "Today is more than a simple Juur de l"Indépendynçe (Independence Day). This is the first ever one in Pannonia's history," said the President this morning, expressing his great felicity. The speech will be available in written form on PTV Pannonia as soon as possible. According to the plans, it will be followed by a presidential congress, at which President Brunner and Vice-President Szatmári will assess the most significant achievements so far and hold a discussion about the future of the Republic of Pannonia and its powerful internal organisations. The republic is one of the most significant micronations in the world and one of the few that were able to induce legal disputes in a macronation. His dedication and commitment to the idea of micronationalism insipired hundreds of people, including members of our Presidency. As Prince Roy stated in an interview, "I might die young or I might die old, but I will never die of boredom." By pn at 10 Oct 2012 - 17:13 pn's blog Add new comment Delayed inactivity The Presidency of Pannonia has been inactive for a period of over two months. This was an unusually long period of inactivity, which shall not be repeated. President Brunner and Vice-President Szatmári held their first meeting after the break on the 8th October. Among the topics discussed were Pannonia's place in intermicronational media, the educational system, the validity of the National Constitution and possible changes to territorial claims. Now, they inform all citizens about the likelihood of a significant delay in the issuance of passports. The new alphabet is originally named 'Tciaar' and was created in 2005. More information about it can be found here. President Brunner apologises for the incoveniences made, promising the issuance of passports and the introduction of virtual banking as soon as possible. By pn at 2 Mar 2012 - 17:22 pn's blog Add new comment Virtual banking by Banqe de Pannonie In a few days, citizens of the Republic of Pannonia will be eligible for bank accounts that operate using virtual (internationally valueless) money. Those who contribute to the progress of certain governmental organisations will be given one-time or systematic payment. The AEP's learning materials and the issuance of documents, such as passports, will require certain amounts of money to be withdrawn from the citizen's account. In later stages of the project's development the Presidency of Pannonia may decide to apply taxes, although detailed financial plans need to be devised by Banqe de Pannonie before they can be introduced. All citizens will be able to login to their accounts through the internet to check their balances at any time. Since florin (fl) is sometimes being used as a way of presenting real amounts of money (through currency conversion), the virtual florin will be abbreviated using 'Ft'. The second letter of the abbreviation stands for Tardis Bank, the provider of our online banking platform. The new system will require them to complete a questionnaire of school subjects that they study or have ever studied for at least a year in their macronations. Moreover, they will be asked to view a few interactive presentations and complete a "quiz" in order to show some knowledge of the extension subjects, such as Pannonian French, History and Geography of Pannonia or Citizenship (Civics). By pn at 8 Jan 2012 - 17:34 pn's blog Add new comment General Pannonian Time Zone The Presidency of Pannonia has recently introduced a resolution in connection with the issue of having three time zones in the Republic of Pannonia. In order to avoid having to write the time in three different time zones in all messages involving an upcoming event, president Brunner suggested the idea of a 'General Pannonian Time Zone' this morning. After gaining vice-president Szatmári's support of the view, Brunner officially enacted the new general time zone. "All citizens and visitors of Matriçe, Çertisse, Įle de Trinité, Scarbantie and Troysvilles should set their clocks regarding the Sirmie time zone (GMT-London, Edinburgh, Dublin) at 2:00 in GMT time zone (3:00 in the macronation Hungary, 4:00 in Northern Greece) on 2 January 2012. The Sirmie time zone does not have to be followed outside of the territory of Pannonia. From now, messages and articles will only indicate one zone, the General Pannonian Time Zone, often refered to as GTZ," says president Brunner. Due to the complexity of the topic, an official version of the resolution is planned to be published on MicroCommons. Moreover, a new attempt of transition may be performed in case this one turns out to be unsuccessful. By pn at 1 Jan 2012 - 23:19 pn's blog Add new comment Resolution of Regional Representation The Presidency of Pannonia and the RTP introduced an extremely important resolution today, called the 'Resolution of Regional Representation'. The act requires all citizens of the Republic of Pannonia to represent one of the nine Pannonian provinces in the census, ensuring that the whole population of the state belongs to the territories, rather than the Pannonian government. Although the provinces are not ruled separately, it is important to have all citizens registered as the population of a choosen province. By pn at 28 Dec 2011 - 18:41 pn's blog Add new comment Visible preparation Yes, the AMP is continuously preparing for the start of the so called 'Territorial Era', on 1 January 2012. The date will mark the official establishment of nine provinces (small territories of Pannonia) and definetely a new beginning. Our articles on MicroWiki have been drastically improved and prepared to welcome the end of the 'Non-Territorial Period'. Although the nine territories do not yet exist officially, they are already published on the wiki and Sirmie (the capital) may also expect its own article soon. The project on the development of articles will soon be considered completed, although the main article's translations (Hungarian and Hungaro-Cyrillic) are still outdated. By pn at 28 Dec 2011 - 18:28 pn's blog Add new comment More about the 'Territorial Claims' project and the RTP Here are some fresh news about Project 2, the project of territorial claims. President Brunner is aiming to give out the official resolution of claimed territories on 1 January 2012, closing the 'Non-territorial era' in the history of Pannonia and starting something new. In order to succeed in this action, Brunner has recently established the RTP (Rejistre du Territoyre Pannoniqe, Pannonian Registry of Territory) to manage Pannonia's physical land. As part of the preparations, some information about the new territories (called 'provinces') and the state's new form may be published before the given date, though these are not yet official and might be modified in the new year. The resolution will probably be published on MicroCommons. The treaty can be viewed here. Again, Joieux Noĕl ā tuut le monde! By pn at 24 Dec 2011 - 16:40 pn's blog Add new comment Territorial claims? As part of the List of current projects, the AMP has recently published a plan in connection with Pannonia's physical territory. According to president Brunner, the country has now achieved the level of development at which it should not be classified 'non-territorial' anymore. The following week, most probably after Christmas, the AMP will publish a list of claimable areas in Europe. Some of them will then be officially declared 'regions' - or simply territories - of the Republic of Pannonia. Brunner believes that the list of official territories should be complete by the end of the year, so that the Presidency may concentrate on the establishment of the new regions. Perhaps even a new agency will be founded to be responsible for managing Pannonia's territories. By pn at 23 Dec 2011 - 20:34 pn's blog Add new comment List of current projects The AMP published its list of ongoing projects today. The list includes projects that belong to the Presidency of Pannonia, the MAE and the AMP. It is planned to be regularly updated. One of the most significant of all was Project 5, named 'Collaborative Broadcasting', since this is the first time the plans are introduced to the public. More information about this and the other four projects will follow. By pn at 23 Dec 2011 - 20:21 pn's blog Add new comment French lyrics for the anthem We are proud to be able to present the lyrics of the anthem of Pannonia, written by president Brunner in Pannonian French. The words are now considered official and are sung to the anthem's melody. Due to our inability to display certain characters here, the AMP will publish the lyrics on MicroWiki. Everything else in connection with the preparations, however, is kept in secret. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! The list is currently available on this website, under 'TV-Radio'. The channels and stations are sorted by language. We are aiming to extend the list by adding a Hungarian-language radio station, or some online televisions. By pn at 17 Dec 2011 - 16:07 pn's blog Add new comment Introducing Kadmuria The Republic of Pannonia had recently been contacted by the Republic of Kadmuria, an active micronation situated between Austria and Hungary. The Kadmurian government's main aim is to make diplomatic relations, and also to join an existing intermicronational federation. This allows Pannonia to maintain this good relationship with the Republic of Kadmuria and is on the way to lead our nation to a new possible diplomatic relation. For more information about Kadmuria, visit their article on MicroWiki. By pn at 16 Dec 2011 - 23:15 pn's blog Add new comment Official websites for MAE and Banqe de Pannonie The MAE and the Banqe de Pannonie have recently been given their new official websites provding more information about their work. The sites were created by the AMP, exceptionally led by president Brunner. In the future, the AMP and the National Police of Pannonia may also expect a website. By pn at 16 Dec 2011 - 23:00 pn's blog Add new comment Translations on MicroWiki The AMP has recently introduced two foreign-language articles of the Republic of Pannonia on MicroWiki, the micronational encyclopaedia on which Pannonia publishes information. These two versions are Hungarian and Hungaro-Cyrillic. The articles are planned to be gradually developed until they reach the level of the original English article. This may mean having some other Pannonia-related articles, such as MAE (Pannonia), Banqe de Pannonie and National anthem of Pannonia translated as well. By pn at 16 Dec 2011 - 22:56 pn's blog Add new comment The MAE welcomes Armlania The MAE has successfully made Pannonia's first diplomatic relation with a micronation called Armlania. Although there is not much information about the state online, Armlania seems to be a well-developed micronation with real aims. The Pannonian-Armlanian friendship was declared on 30 November 2011, but - as the AMP was busy thorughout the last week - Armlania is introduced to the Pannonians today. More information about the micronation can be found here. We all wish success to the Armlanian government and an everlasting friendship between these two great nations. By pn at 16 Dec 2011 - 22:50 pn's blog Add new comment Thirty-one days in blue and white The Republic of Pannonia is celebrating its one-month anniversary today! As explained yesterday, this gives plenty of new opportunities, such as the ability to apply for OAM membership. Moreover, Pannonia can now present two new websites created by the AMP: one providing information about Banqe de Pannonie and one for those aiming to enquire about the MAE. Our next aim is to design the first official passports and ID cards with the contribution of the MAE and the National Police. The latter, and also AMP, are expecting their unique information websites too. By pn at 11 Dec 2011 - 14:49 pn's blog 1 comment One-month anniversary tomorrow! Pannonia is celebrating the success of the first month of its existence tomorrow, on 11th December 2011. According to the OAM's criteria for membership application, the micronation must exist for at least 30 days in order to be able to become a member of the Organisation of Active Micronations. Therefore, this Sunday gives opens another significant "gate" in the history and success of the Pannonian republic. We hope that the MAE will soon be able to acquire a membership of the most popular intermicronational organisation, the OAM. Although citizens are now given a simply designed license plate, the code pattern (PN00XX) DOESN'T change. For more information, please click here. On 21 November 2011 Brunner stated that Pannonia was going to attempt acquiring a membership in the Organisation of Active Micronations. But are we active enough? Will the OAM accept our request? By pn at 21 Nov 2011 - 19:30 pn's blog Add new comment Buy now your aluminium license plates for only 18 fl Personalised Pannonian license plates (number plates) are sold by SpeedySigns for only 18.33 fl (currency converter). These unique plates are designed separately for each citizen of Pannonia. All citizens are eligible to print out (bad quality) or purchase an aluminium version of their license plates. Please note that these are only second-level license plates, which means that they do not replace your original ones. In some US states, front number plates are not compulsary and vehicle owners are allowed to put their own ones on their cars, although in most countries of the world, registration plates other than the state's official ones cannot be used as primary - or first-level - plates. Even in these cases, Pannonian plates can be used at the same time with the official ones, so that you can show off your status in our micronational community. License plates are issued by the National Police of Pannonia (Poliçe Naționale de Pannonie) and follow the follow a specific format. For example, PN12GB PN: Pannonia. Although these two letters can be seen on the right side of the plate as well, they also serve as the two first characters of all license plates. 12: Two numbers that are meant separately, so the order would be 11, 12, 13 ... 19, 21, 22, 23 ... 29, 31, 32, 33 ... GB: Macronational citizenship or primary license plate's nationality. The codes do not allways match the internetional country codes (e.g. PN for Pannonia). In case the official country code consists of more or less than two characters (i.e. H or SRB), it may change to keep the plate's original format (H becomes HU, SRB becomes SR). Don't forget, it's only 18 fl! By pn at 17 Nov 2011 - 16:47 pn's blog Add new comment What's new today? Today is a special day in the life of all Pannonians. We are celebrating the official installation of our new currency, the Pannonian Florin (Floryn de Pannonie), which takes the British Pound out of use completely. This change has also brought to us the establishment of the republic's bank system which is now the responsibility of Banqe de Pannonie (Pannonian Bank). The new system takes another issue off the list of the National Police's unusual responsibilities. Beside all this, the AMP (led by E. Mancini) was also able to set up the government's official YouTube channel and publish a version of the Pannonian National Anthem. The video can be watched (and listened to) here. More information about the Pannonian Florin and the AMP's plans in connection with the channel will soon follow. By pn at 16 Nov 2011 - 22:02 pn's blog Add new comment State visit to Luxembourg Approxmately a week before Pannonia's official foundation, President Brunner had a state visit to Luxembourg City (the capital of Luxembourg) in the framework of his new project. Brunner has already been to several European capital cities, including London, Bruxelles, Prague, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Rome, Athens, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Vatican and now Luxembourg City. He is currently planning visits to Paris, Amsterdam, Warsaw and Vaduz. We hope that all the experience he receives will help him to lead our country the right way. By pn at 16 Nov 2011 - 17:14 pn's blog Add new comment Brunner: Establishment Day keeps no memories President Balint Brunner states that the official celebration of Pannonia's establishment on 11 November 2011 was not as successful and memorable as it should have been. What comes next? Will a bigger celebration follow, or would it be unreasonable to repeat the events for the sake of having a memorable start? Whatever the decision will be, there's one thing that stays sure: having a second celebration would make the whole series of events less serious - and even less popular!
